HIV: Digital Compliance and Review

27th November 2024 by Jillian Jay

The healthcare challenge
HIV (human immunodeficiency virus) a virus affecting millions globally, is characterised by its ability to attack the host’s immune system, and if left untreated can lead to the development of AIDS (acquired immunodeficiency syndrome).

Once people develop HIV, there is no cure or complete reversal. However, proper medical care can control the virus and prevent the infection developing into AIDS. The ongoing challenge to develop better treatments is one that we are a part of.

The ask
Our client needed assistance with the review of vast amounts of scientific data regarding HIV, to ensure that claims made within documents created for HCPs or PLWH were sufficiently substantiated through detailed and accurate review processes.

The solution

We carried out systematic reviews of the client‘s materials to validate them against scientific publications, and delivered detailed recommendations and reports regarding any findings. We accurately reviewed several years’ worth of publications in order to ensure the data being presented is in line with the rules and regulations set out in the ABPI Code of Practice; the data had to be accurate, balanced and fair.

The benefit
We aided in the provision of accurate and up-to-date scientific information in relation to HIV and the outcomes of the use of treatments. Therefore providing more insights to the evolving treatment options of HIV which will hopefully be a positive addition to the substantial work already being completed to help patients.
